The Story

About this campaign

In 2026, DPHS once again has the opportunity to play rugby for a worthy cause.

This year, our U11 A, B, C and D teams, along with the 1st to 5th Rugby Teams, will be participating in the Sport For Lives campaign. The goal for this year’s challenge is to raise R86,000 to renovate the school kitchen—funds will go towards renovating the kitchen and creating a healthy and safe space for the school’s meal preparations.

We’re proud to continue our meaningful partnership with Eqinisweni, now in its fourth year.

  • In 2023, our joint campaign with The Learn Project helped build a library.
  • In 2024, our U11 teams raised funds for the chess and netball programme.
  • In 2025, we raised funds for a new stove, pots and a gas cylinder.

As the boys take to the field this season, they’ll be playing for something greater than themselves. We invite the entire DPHS community to support this initiative and activate generosity by making a once-off donation.

Together, let’s make a difference—on and off the field.

Our Mission

Eqinisweni Primary School

Eqinisweni Primary School is located in the township of Inanda, Durban. It serves over a thousand learners and operates as a no-fee institution, in line with South Africa’s commitment to providing accessible education for all. Historically, the school was run by Catholic nuns.

Eqinisweni greatly values its ongoing relationship with DPHS and looks forward to the visits from the DPHS boys each year.
