About this campaign
I completed the 16-mile Oceans 8 Swim last year in support of Project Rhino, but unfortunately, I recently had to undergo shoulder surgery. I was devastated knowing I would not be able to take part this year. Then the opportunity to participate in Run For Rangers came onto my radar — and I immediately knew I had to be involved.
As trail running and the African bush are two of my greatest passions, I grasped at the opportunity. Run For Rangers is a grueling 100-kilometre endurance challenge completed over two days through the rugged terrain of Babanango Game Reserve in support of Project Rhino. Funds raised through the event go directly toward equipping rangers with the training, technology, and resources they need to protect Africa’s wildlife and preserve these critical ecosystems for future generations.
After spending many hours with the Project Rhino team and being exposed to the hardships our rangers endure while protecting our wildlife, I could not think of a better way to give back. As an outdoor enthusiast and passionate conservationist, events like Run For Rangers are deeply meaningful and provide the perfect opportunity for me to contribute in a tangible way.
Please help us support our wild beasts and the brave souls who protect them — our Rangers and their loyal canine partners.
