Run For Lives -Joshua's Run For Rangers 2026

About this campaign

I’m a 29-year-old taking on something completely outside of my comfort zone. I’ll be taking part in Run for Rangers, a 2-day, 100km run through Babanango Game Reserve, covering 50km each day.

Since moving from South Africa to live in Dubai, I’ve realised that many people on this side of the world don’t truly see the reality and impact of poaching. That is one of the main reasons I have chosen to take on this challenge to help raise awareness for a cause that matters deeply.

Across Africa, rangers are on the front line every single day, protecting wildlife from poaching. They dedicate their lives to protect these incredible animals, yet much of this work goes unseen.

I was meant to do this two years ago, but after tearing my ACL playing rugby, I went through a very difficult period both physically and mentally. Having worked hard to overcome that setback, I now feel ready to push myself through the gruelling Run for Rangers challenge. This kind of endurance is completely new to me, but it’s not really about the run. It’s about using this challenge to support those who dedicate their lives to protecting wildlife.

It will be tough, both physically and mentally but that’s not the point. This is about giving back to something far bigger than myself.

All funds raised will go directly to Project Rhino, helping to support our Rangers on the frontline and strengthen critical conservation initiatives.

Thank you for your support.
