He’s back again because missing this event would feel like skipping Christmas, your own birthday, and the Salomon end-of-season sale all at the same time. After running with the rangers and seeing what they deal with daily, he figured: “Yup… this level of pain is worth repeating.”

By day, Gordy is a Discovery Financial Advisor.
By night, he’s a father, husband, philanthropist, and Durbanite with commitment issues around comfort. His “healthy midlife crisis” at 40 has been going on for more than a decade — long enough to be considered a permanent lifestyle.

Since 2013, he’s clocked over 10,000 km doing everything except resting — running, cycling, hiking, paddling, hand-cycling, swimming — and somehow raising millions for charity in the process. When Gordy suffers, good things happen for other people.

This year, the madness continues.
