About this campaign

Fairmont HS 1st Team Hockey Teams x Durbanville Children’s Home

The Fairmont Boys and Girls 1st Team Hockey Players will dedicate their season to the Durbanville Children’s Home. We are excited to start this journey together and assist the Home with the needs of the children.

The Durbanville Children's Home makes a difference in the lives of children that have been neglected. There are currently 144 children between the ages of 2 and 18 from communities all around the Cape Peninsula in the home’s residential care. The home is recognised as a model for child and youth care in a therapeutic milieu. The Fairmont Hockey teams are playing hockey this year for the goals and dreams of these children.

We are aiming to raise R15,000 throughout the season. You can contribute through either a once-off donation or by pledging an amount per goal. Pledges are calculated based on the combined total of goals scored by both the boys’ and girls’ teams, allowing every goal to contribute directly to our fundraising efforts.

As a team, we are looking to play for something bigger than ourselves and to make a positive impact on those in need.

We are calling on our community to assist us in reaching our goal.
