I am excited to dedicate my 2026 cricket season to Footprints 4 Sam, in partnership with Sport For Lives. For every wicket I take throughout the season, anyone can have the opportunity to pledge a set amount towards Footprints 4 Sam. There is also an option to make a once-off donation.

We are supporting this organization because of the incredible work they do to improve the lives of children with chronic illnesses and their families across South Africa. We want to use cricket to make a meaningful difference to families facing incredibly difficult circumstances and to help continue the legacy of Sam.

Our goal is to raise R70 000 over the course of the campaign through pledges and once-off donations. The funds raised will go towards the Super Hero Sam Bucket initiative, which is focused on providing families with essential food, pantry goods, toiletries, and care items when they need them most.

The F4S team, in collaboration with experts and the recipients of the buckets themselves, have paid careful attention to assembling parcels that address the needs thoughtfully and directly. These may seem like simple items, but for families dealing with the challenges and demands of childhood illness, they give meaningful, practical, and emotional support by relieving families of one ordinary burden.

This is an opportunity to give back, change lives, and create a meaningful impact. I have been genuinely inspired by the work carried out by Footprints 4 Sam, and I hope you, too, can appreciate the hope and support they give to so many South African families in need.
