In 2026, Bridge House's 1st, 2nd, U16A and U16B Girls’ Hockey teams will use the Sport For Lives platform to raise money for Dalabuhle Primary School.

Every goal scored, by all of our girls’ hockey teams, will raise funds for school operations and learner resources at Dalabuhle Primary. Our goal is to raise R20 000 to help provide education to their students. 

Through this campaign, we hope to play a small part in making their lives easier and giving them a better start and greater opportunities.

As a hockey team, we spend countless hours on the Astro. We’re lucky enough to have a world-class pitch under our feet every single day, and it’s easy to take that for granted. But the reality is that for many students at schools like Dalabuhle Primary, even having a flat, safe place to play is a luxury.

Dalabuhle Primary

Dalabuhle Primary is a Public Primary School in Franschhoek, Western Cape, South Africa. It serves learners from Grade R up to Grade 7.

• It is a no-fee Public School, meaning it does not charge tuition fees, and therefore any funding to support operations and learner resources, is welcome.
• The school typically has hundreds of learners and a team of educators.
• The curriculum covers the full Primary phase with subjects such as Languages, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Life Skills, and Creative Arts, appropriate to each grade.
• Like many Primary Schools, Dalabuhle offers a mix of Academic and Extra-Curricular activities — including Sports such as soccer, netball, and athletics, as well as speech and other student enrichment opportunities.
